I got too much equipment to deal with now and am fixing to put a new Video Card in my IBM tomorrow. An ATI 9800, I think is what it is he got for me? Have to go down the street tomorrow with it and see what it is for $35 installed.

He||oween is going to help me get the Server, server set up right via Ventrillo/Xfire. He going to show me how to set up a Server Machine the right way. I'm having conflicts with the many Processors in it and the game isn't running as it should. I think it's trying to run the game on all of them at the same time?

Since it's a Server and not a standard PC, I'm not sure how to set it up for gaming. Doh! I should be able to run many servers off of it. Smile

I'm also going to start scraping and saving to build my Ultimate Gamer. All this info helps a lot. Wink

I miss my other one and it's just sitting over ----------------->there, looking at me. Crying or Very sad

i dont know what kind of cards you like me its nvidia but there are companys who are doing wonderful things out there. i hang out on the evga site alot and with they're mother boards you get up to 24 gigs of ram but you are going to need the Supports Intel Core i7 Processors

    http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=170-BL-E762-A1&family=Motherboard Family&series=Intel X58 Series Family&sw=5

and with that you ad can up to around 7 gpus in there and get 3d high def tv and all that.

I like NVidia as well but, I just put an ATI 9800 in my IBM machine. Installed for $35. Not too bad and it's up to date and it has all the ATI Drivers installed for it to run properly. No Windows Drivers. Even though Windows Drivers can handle it, I just uninstalled them and went with the ATI ones instead. On another note,

    My new server has an;

    Asus Motherboard w/NVidia Chipset
    ATL x1300/1500 128meg Graphics
    DDRI ECC memory (3Gb)
    250Gb Sata II HD (300)
    Dynex 400 Dual Power Supply
    Opteron 148 CPU's x 2

20" RasterOps Mc 8115 Hatachi Monitor
    iConcepts Keyboard
    iOne Linx Mouse

All under $200 because some of it I already had on hand. Some of it I got for free. Wink

I have a new LinkSys Router coming too.

yeah thats just like my motherboard with the 9300 chipset and i put in the 9800 gt. they used to have what they called hybrid sli where the two would work together to give a sort of sli feeling but they dont support that for windows 7 and they gave it up altogether with the new drivers. but sli is when you have 3 or 4 identical gpu working together and it supposed to give your pc a huge boost in power and graphics. thats with the new motherboard and the 750i to 790i everybody used to make those now they stopped because of the new i3 i5 and i7 chips. hardly anybody makes socket 775 anymore. and those new chips are way too expensive.
