well i guess in some ways i am new to the server. bugpowderdust is the name; i also use theshrike as a name.
played this mod though for quite a few years. actually since version 4.33. and played on many different servers and in my experience the major attribute of any server; what actually makes a good server is players who get along with each other, players who take the time to chat or even just say 'hi'.
this is called friendliness...quite simple isn't it???
maybe not depending on your personality type, however i think the whole idea of playing online is there are other people out there.
no one is obligated to chat, no one can force anyone to chat, that being the case if you are online you are there because others are there. if you want no contact with others, set up a lan server and play alone with no access by other players allowed? Yes?
i like a friendly server where other players at least take the time to say 'hi' or 'hello' or whatever to each other.
maybe other players don't, which is ok, but then why even play on an open server?
defeats the purpose doesn't it?

im not trying to be unfriendly but i play freelancer to release stress and right now because of my real life problems i have alot and i mean alot of stress. so most of the time i am on its just to do missions and kill npcs esp pirates so thats why sometime you say hello i am not answering or i answer you on public and my message looks gray. so thats why i usually dont chat and i am not a chatty admin in the first place basically i hate admins who want to know what you are doing everytime you are on theyre server. i let people do what they want and how they want it just dont cheat. also i want to bring out another point when i do say hello to someone i am usually ignored.

just to clarify; actually i was not talking about any specific player; it was a comment aimed at most of us, myself included. i have been on the server several times when different players were on and have said a friendly 'hi' to most of them and more often than not have had no reply back from them.
no idea why it should be like that as most servers the players at least reply even if it begins and with a brief, polite 'hi there'. i know i am also guilty of ignoring other player who are doing nothing more than being friendly.
my point is maybe we should all try to be a little friendlier. after all, why else play on an open server. if we want to ignore others then it is far better to either single-play or set up a lan.

the thing is i think those guys are European Romanian so theyre english isnt that good. just to let you know i am on vacation so i took it apon myself to download 24 episodes from itunes this will cause alot of lag on the server . so i shut it down for awhile . i will bring it up soon sorry.

Hello folks, I'm TrentsFish. You see me online at any server and I WILL say hello back, LOL. I'm a chatty, helpful ( I try my best ) admin of the Shadowverse mod. I like Freelancer very much and try very hard to persuade folks to play ( In whatever mod suits them ). You'll see me posting just about everywhere and as I learn, I try to pass my knowledge on. I help Frodo ( the Shadowverse modder ) as much as I can, and in the process am developing a nice lil mod called The Fishbowl. At the moment I'm familiar with most of the modding basics ( BASICS - don't expect too much yet..... ) and am working at learning more. You may not see me in one place everyday ( except Shadowverse ) but i DO try to be everywhere at least once in a while.... If I'm slow answering a post, please forgive me....

yeah true that. i live on the west side of new jersey close to pa right on the border.

yeah i had to look belvidere up.... not a town you hear about much.... bigger than my town of Jamaica Va. though...... we dont even have a convenience store.....

my sister lives in chantilly va, its just a zip code i live in area named white township belvidere is like 10 minutes away. but its the same difference.
